Put the watch under the faucet, with hot/warm water running at a high flowrate, while holding it face up with both hands. Eight fingers on the case back. With one thumb on the bezel at 9 and your other thumb at 3 apply a little downward pressure and rotate the bezel. All will be well. __________________. To really see whatcha got there, you'll need to pop the bezel off and post photos of all the parts and the case where the bezel came off. Then we can tell you how to tighten it up. I will do this tonight. I managed to buy my birthyear -79 5513 from a friend of mine, the watch runs perfectly but its missing all bezel parts, Its just the case. I would need some help, could someone tell what bezel parts are there and whats their purpose?
No question this movement will need some work. The last time I bought a 5513 with one of these badly neglected low jewel 1570 movements, my watchmaker replaced all the bushings with jewels (Rolex provided these as standard replacements) along with some other parts in the auto-winding mechanism.In this video I show a DIY way to safely remove and refit your Rolex bezel insert, specifically for a Rolex 5513, 1680 or any 4 digit Rolex reference. Bezel bleaching. I just got an MBW 5513 and decided to remove the bezel insert (thanks to advices on removal). I had an old MBW insert so I popped the pearl off with my fingernail (easy). Then removed the bezel assembly from the new MBW, amazingly easy, just prized it off with the blade of a knife.
