I consider it a “dark blue” fragrance; 1-3 sprays on a nice late spring or early summer evening. Maybe even a nice fall day. We’re all different though and fragrances are highly subjective. It’s a good versatile blue fragrance for everyday use. It’s along the lines of bleu de Chanel, if you like that fragrance. Although, Y’s projection and longevity is a bit lacking luster during the winter months. I just got YSL Y EDP. While it is bright and fruity, there is a sort of thickness and heaviness to it and I feel a lighter aquatic/citrus would be better for the really hot days. It is an amazing fragrance, but I would opt for something lighter for a hot beach day
